Here’s a sentence we never thought we’d type: The Jackson 5 are back. That’s right the surviving members will be embarking on the Unity Tour 2012 this summer, which will be the group’s first dates since 1984.
.
The tour will reportedly feature Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Tito and the group’s site will be comprised of classic songs from the group’s past and they will also pay tribute to Michael in some way, although the exact details of their set remain unknown.
.
“I am so happy and excited to perform again onstage with my brothers,” Jermaine said in a statement. “I can’t wait to sing all the songs that were so much a part of all of our lives. We are ready and committed to keep the family’s legacy alive and perform once again with the highest level of excellence, creativity, and most of all, integrity.”
.
The current dates kicks off on June 18th in Louisville, Kentucky and wraps up on July 29th in Snoqualmie, Washington and more dates are expected to be announced in the near future.
